Product of the Day: Redken Clear Moisture

Okay, so the saddest part about this post? This product has been discontinued! But you can still find it online and in some stores. Maybe we can get Redken to bring it back with enough positive feedback!

What is does: it's a leave-in treatment to give extra moisture to smooth down dry and icky split ends, leaving it looking soft and shiny.

Here's something a lot of women don't know---leave-in treatment isn't something to take the place conditioner in the shower! It's in ADDITION to your in the shower treatment. Yes, if you have oily hair that never breaks or splits, this product isn't for you. If you're 99.9999% of the rest of the world who sometimes has split ends and dry hair that looks like you just stuck your finger in an outlet, read on!

So, sometimes even if your hair is being treated as well as possible (and you're treating your hair well all the time, right? Not like we tried to make it a faux-hawk with glue-like gel yesterday or anything...), it can still get dry. Certain climates effect hair, as well as artificial climates like AC or heat, styling tools, and just day to day use and sometimes abuse. When moisture is depleted, the cuticle can be rough, which makes the hair dull and frizzy. There is a special "Micro-Moisture Complex" to give lightweight moisture to help rebalance hair's internal and external moisture levels without heaviness.

Basically it makes your hair healthy, shiny and happy, even if it wasn't happy when it woke up. Like caffeine and a donut in bed. :)
